Louise Ringshaw - Founder

Louise founded Chameleon Theatre Arts in 2005 and served as principal until 2022, when she passed the school down to her eldest daughter, Elicia. She holds AAD Full Teachers Qualifications in Ballet, Tap, and Modern, as well as a Level 4 Diploma in Street Dance from Urban Strides. Louise is also accredited with TAAD and MMAG. As a young adult, she performed professionally in Japan and other international countries, bringing a wealth of experience and global perspective to the school. Louise continues to share her expertise by teaching our Junior and Adult classes.

Jayne Mason - Teacher

Jayne has danced with us for many years and now brings her expertise and enthusiasm to our Senior classes. She is trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Disco, Ballroom, and Latin American dance styles. As a qualified AAD Student Teacher, Jayne has competed in theatres internationally as a professional dancer. Her extensive training and vibrant teaching style make her classes both fun and enriching.

Helen Key - Teacher

Helen has danced for over 30 years and taught for over 15, bringing extensive expertise and fresh creative ideas to our school. She is trained in Ballet, Tap, and Modern with the AAD and other associations. Helen teaches our Junior classes as well as our Elite Troupes. Her innovation make her a valuable part of our teaching team.

Bella Lugmayer - Teacher

Bella has been an integral part of our school since she was 11, starting as a student helper in our Primary and Junior classes and progressing to assist in our Intermediate classes. She holds qualifications with the AAD and is actively pursuing her teaching qualifications. Bella now teaches our Babes Troupe and continues to assist in Primary and Intermediate classes. In addition to her teaching roles, she plays a key role in helping with social media and administrative tasks for the school, ensuring smooth operations.

Hannah Mitchell - Teacher and Admin

Hannah has danced since she was young and since joining Chameleon has taken up every class she possibly can. Hannah helps with younger student classes and is an amazing support at competitions. Since joining Chameleon only 2 years ago she has gone on to take part in a CTA show and is now a valued member of the Senior troupe, she has won medals and trophies at local competitions. Hannah embodies all things Chameleon.

Caitlin Mantle - Teacher

Caitlin has been part of our dance family since she was very young, dancing with us and gaining her qualifications through the AAD. She assists in our Primary and Junior classes, bringing her enthusiasm and expertise to young dancers. Caitlin is also a valued member of our Senior Troupe, contributing to our performances at various competitions and events.

At Chameleon we have a group of select students that volunteer themselves to help in our Junior and Primary classes; expanding their dance knowledge and teaching experience which in turn improves thrown technique and dance/teaching ability, as some will go on to be teachers within our school.

Laydeen Nicholson

Laydeen has danced with Chameleon for 3+ years, starting with just ballet. She now takes part in every class possible at Chameleon and is a part of the elite troupe! Laydeen has won several awards with group dances, duets and solos at competitions with the troupe. She is amazing with the little ones and wants to be a teacher one day herself.

Abigail Reid

Abigail has been dancing with Chameleon for 3+ years and has progressed from taking one class to ballet, tap and modern! Abigail won the Robyn Graham award for being the most dedicated and showing Chameleon values. She is a super dedicated student and really enthusiastic with all the primaries.
